Where have all the Dad’s gone? Are you paying attention to your children?Early on you need to build a close relationship with your children especially in the preschool years. If you do this you are paving the way to staying involved with your children throughout their lives. Studies have been done to show that parental involvement (both mother and father) are critical to the academic achievement of their children. Fathers who have established a pattern of being involved early in a child’s life are more likely to step in at school when their child is struggling in the school setting. Cyberbullying

You may have heard about cyberbullying recently in the news because it is a growing problem. Cyberbullying can be done by an individual or group in a number of different ways. It can involve the use of computers, cell phones, websites, email, instant messaging or text messaging to support continual cruel behavior to others.

A recent survey indicated that:

·         42% of youths have been bullied online.

·         35% have been threatened online.

·         58% of youths admit someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online.

·         53% of youths admit having said something mean or hurtful to someone else online.

·         58% of those polled have said nothing to an adult about it
